Welcome

SPECIAL NEWS: PAWS & BDCHS Spay & Neuter Weekend - March 11th & 12th, RAVS unit (Rural Area Vet Services) -75 free spay neuters for dogs and cats, will be performed for our low-income, area residents. We are now qualifying applicants and volunteers. For more information, also visit http://www.bainbridgehumanesociety.com or http://www.hsus.org/ravs or call 229-524-8890. This community service is a collaborative effort between PAWS, Bainbridge/Decatur County Humane Society and HSUS (Humane Society of the United States).

PAWS major goal is to form chapters in rural areas in a multi-county collaborative effort to create centrally located animal shelters. We desperately need your support, both financially and as volunteers.

A unified effort among counties is the most cost-efficient approach, and will allow the chapter groups to qualify for many more benefits. We can purchase in quantity, offer residents discounts, spay neuter vouchers, and educate and encourage responsible pet ownership. As we build our member roster as a group, our political influence will also strengthen.

Individual groups have been "carrying the load" of caring for homeless and abandoned animals. Animal control and animal welfare is a social responsibility of every person. Communities and individual groups are now coming together in a collaborative movement to service a need that has existed for a long time.

If you would like more information, call 229-524-8890. If you would like to make a contribution, remit to PAWS, PO Box 822, Donalsonville, GA 39845. You can also download and print this membership form [pdf] and mail in your contribution. Your generous gift is tax-deductible.
